Wouldn’t it be important to know if there’s enough ground water to support a community before we build more houses? Is there enough locally grown food to feed the population or will we have to ship higher priced food in to meet everyone’s needs? How much energy will a community need in the future?
Measuring these basic resources and comparing them to your local population will give you your community’s carrying capacity. The Research Activities section of this website can show you how this works.
